Job Overview

Oracle GDI Government, Defense & Intelligence is hiring a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to lead presales technical and functional support activities, formulate solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction in our expanding cloudbased portfolio. This hybrid role is based in the greater Washington DC area, typically with 34 days onsite per week and 12 days remote, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage with strategic and complex customers, building leadership relationships at multiple levels to understand their strategic goals and design solutions that lead to implementation and sustainment.
• Embed with customers to comprehend systems, gather requirements, develop architectures, and translate mission needs into solutions; assist with solution implementation and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting.
• Display product/application understanding through customized presentation demonstrations at customers, conferences, and events.
• Support customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.
• Contribute significantly to the technical response for solicitations (RFI, RFQ, RFP, whitepapers).
• Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new solutions, products, and processes; maintain expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
• Act as an acknowledged authority for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
• Identify gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customerdriven features.
• Travel up to 50% (STL) may be required.

Requirements What You Will Bring (Required)

• MUST have experience working with the Federal Government.
• Experience leading indepth discovery sessions with customers resulting in business process workflows and architecture diagrams.
• Experience rearchitecting systems to cloudnative architectures.
• Experience with cloud, hybrid, and multicloud architectures including full and splitstack deployments.
• Experience sizing and pricing hardware, software, and cloud requirements.
• Strong understanding of IaaS components: cloud networking, VPNs, firewalls, identity and access management, containers, container orchestration (K8s), and encryption.
• Strong understanding of modern data platform architectures: data ingestion, integration, security, pipelines, federation, analytics.
• Experience monitoring performance of infrastructure through monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience designing resilient/redundant architectures to meet COOP, RTO/RPO requirements.
• 8+ years experience in clear communication of technical information through presentations, demonstrations, written communication, and consultative solutioning.

Preferred (but not required)

• Handson experience with Oracle hardware (Exadata) and Oracle Database19c.
• Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Salary Range

US: $113,100 $185,100 per annum (eligible for equity and commission with an estimated 70/30 pay mix).
