Southern Industrial Constructors is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Technical Writer Intern to support our IT team in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates with a passion for technology and strong writing skills. You'll gain hands-on experience working with engineers, analysts, and support teams to produce user guides, technical manuals, and internal documentation. This is a full-time, paid internship working with a large industrial construction company based out of Raleigh, NC. Dates for internship are May 18th - July 31st. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist in writing and editing technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, FAQs, and internal process documents. + Collaborate with IT staff to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content. + Help maintain and update documentation repositories and knowledge bases. + Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and style across all documents. + Participate in document reviews and incorporate feedback from subject matter experts. + Support the creation of diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance documentation. + Learn and apply best practices in technical writing and documentation standards. **Qualifications:** + Currently pursuing a degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Basic understanding of IT concepts (e.g., networking, software, hardware). + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or documentation tools like Confluence, SharePoint, or Google Workspace. + Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team. **We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
